Blue Cheese from Pondicherry!
Fresh, handmade blue cheese. Blue cheese can be eaten by itself or can be spread, crumbled or melted into or over foods.Use it for making your dressings or on bread. The characteristic flavour of this blue cheese tends to be little sharp and salty.
What makes it so special?
We called it "blue" because of the characteristic blue-grey mould that develops on the crust, reminiscent of that found on a traditional French Sainte Maure (a goat cheese). This Blue is a cow's milk cheese with a rich, pungent flavour and a delightfully creamy texture.
How can I use it in salad and other healthy recipes?
Blue cheeses tastes fabulous and cooks beautifully. They are well suited to pairing with dark honey, chuntey, walnuts, or melting on top of steaks and burgers. You can use it to top it on soup, make tartines, or make a tangy salad dressing by crumbling the cheese into vinaigrette.
